The corgi and the cross

    Once upon a time, there was a little corgi named Max who loved to take walks in the park with his owner. One day, while they were on their usual stroll, they came across a large cross standing in the middle of an open field.

    Max's owner was curious about the cross, so they walked closer to take a look. As they approached, they saw that the cross was completely empty, with no figure of Jesus or any other religious symbol on it.

    Max, being a curious and adventurous corgi, walked up to the base of the cross and lay down at its foot. His owner smiled and watched as Max rested there, seemingly enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the field.

    As they sat there together, Max's owner began to reflect on the meaning of the empty cross. They thought about how it represented a symbol of hope and redemption, and how it was a reminder of the sacrifice that Jesus made for all of humanity.

    Although Max couldn't understand the significance of the cross like his owner, he felt a sense of calmness and contentment as he lay there. He knew he was safe and loved, which was enough for him.

    From that day on, every time Max and his owner passed by the empty cross in the park, Max would make a beeline for it and lay down at its foot. His owner would join him and they would spend a few peaceful moments together, contemplating the mystery and wonder of the cross.

    And so, the little corgi became known as the faithful companion of the empty cross, a symbol of devotion and love for all who passed by.
